PCCJR to Host CLE Class on Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Coalition for Civil Justice Reform (PCCJR) will host a CLE course on August 27 focusing on current topics of interest in the area of medical malpractice. The event is approved for 1.5 substantive CLE credits and .05 ethics credit.

The program will feature a panel discussion exploring a number of emerging legal issues in medical malpractice. The topics that will be delved into include: the continuing surge of Philadelphia cases; the dilution of plaintiffs’ burden to prove agents causing harm; preserving issues on appeal and waiver rulings of the Superior Court; ethical concerns with double and triple booking; and the rise of punitive damages.

The panel will be comprised of five different attorneys who will share their perspectives on the issues. The panel will consist of: Curt Schroder, executive director of PCCJRMatthew Keris, shareholder and Electronic Medical Record and Audit Trail Practice Group Chair at Marshall Dennehey; Maureen M. McBride, partner at Lamb McErlane PC; Gregory S. Nesbitt, partner at Kilcoyne & Nesbitt; and Steven L. Ettinger, Partner and Co-Chair of the Health Law Business Group at Dickie McCamey.

The course will take place on August 27 from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost to attend is $45. Space is limited, please register online by August 22.
