With several important state judicial seats on the ballot in the upcoming General Election – including an open seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, PCCJR is pleased to release its updated 2021 PA Judicial Voter Guide.
Judicial decisions have far-reaching impact on the state’s business climate and overall economic health. Unfortunately, over the past five and a half years the state’s highest court has handed down numerous decisions expanding civil liability, making it more difficult for Pennsylvanians to create jobs, obtain healthcare and provide for our families. It is critical that voters make their voice heard and restore balance to the Court this November.
In addition to the state Supreme Court seat, voters will also be tasked with choosing judges to fill one open Superior Court seat and two open Commonwealth Court seats.
PCCJR’s Voter Guide was developed to be a helpful resource for voters by giving an overview of the issues before the Court and their potential impacts, as well as the judicial philosophies of the candidates on the ballot. It features information on the negative impacts the Court’s recent rulings have had on Pennsylvania’s liability environment as well as questionnaire responses from candidates for Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth Courts.
