PCCJR Puts Spotlight on Reports Showcasing Financial Influence of Plaintiffs’ Attorneys

A recent opinion piece by PCCJR Executive Director Curt Schroder is shining a spotlight on the financial resources plaintiffs’ attorneys are allocating towards political campaigns and legal advertising. As noted in our previous newsletter, the American Tort Reform Association recently released two reports detailing the lengths plaintiffs’ attorneys are willing to go to tilt the scales of justice in the Commonwealth in their favor.

As Schroder noted in his column, “These reports highlight a very disturbing trend in the Commonwealth, a trend that needs to be reversed to right-size the state’s legal climate. Doctors, hospitals, places of employment and you cannot continue to bear the cost of runaway nuclear verdicts that are fostered by campaign contributions and advertising.”

To date, the opinion column has been picked up by the Bradford Era and PA Townhall.
