June historically signifies one of the busiest months of the legislative calendar with a number of issues rising to the forefront as state legislators and the Shapiro administration work to reach a budget agreement prior to the state’s constitutional deadline. In the coming weeks, legislation will be flying between the Senate and the House as each caucus and the governor identify their respective priorities. With so much activity occurring, it is not unusual for various legislative proposals to be rushed through the process or included in larger omnibus bills. PCCJR will be closely monitoring legislative activity and working to prevent any bills that would negatively impact our legal climate from passing.
