The 2021 General Election is on November 2, just a few weeks away. With open seats on the state Supreme, Superior, and Commonwealth Courts, there is a lot at stake. In order to help voters make informed decisions when they cast their ballot, PCCJR has created its 2021 PA Judicial Voter Guide.
Developed to be a helpful resource for voters, the Voter Guide includes questionnaire responses regarding judicial philosophies from candidates for the Supreme, Superior, and Commonwealth Courts. It also gives an overview of issues currently before the judicial branch and how future decisions could impact the state.
While often considered “off” election years, judicial elections have far-reaching impacts on the state’s economy and overall economic health. Unfortunately, a shift in the balance of the state Supreme Court has led to numerous decisions expanding civil liability, which ultimately leads to higher healthcare costs and less job creation. This November, it is critical that voters make their voices heard and restore much needed balance and fairness to Pennsylvania’s courts!
